Personal Finance

This is a class I think every student should take...I mean, look at the facts:  (1) you will need money to survive in our society, (2) life is expensive, (3) you're probably going to earn  more money than you think you will in your lifetime, (4) if you don't learn how to manage your money, you won't have it when you need it,    (5) being in constant debt is a lousy way to live.  Learn strategies to stay on top of your finances.  Focus on budgeting and banking, credit, insurance, investments, major purchases, and housing...

Computer Applications 1

This class offers you an opportunity for you to learn the basics of productivity software, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation graphics, and desktop publishing.  Oh yeah...and it's a graduation requirement.  I recommend that you take it during your sophomore or junior year if you can.
